The Beatitudes

The Beatitudes are a series of blessings from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount in the Bible, found in the Gospel of Matthew, that describe the character and attitudes of those who are truly happy, spiritual, and blessed by God. They include qualities like being poor in spirit, merciful, pure in heart, and a peacemaker, each with a corresponding promise of divine favor or reward. The term "Beatitude" itself comes from the Latin word beatus, meaning "blessed" or "happy"
